PNR Commuter Express Train

.
Yesterday afternoon the 14th of March 2010, after visiting my son in his boarding condo in Manila's university belt area, I decided to board the new Aircon commuter train from PNR's Espana Train station to Sucat Train station and then from Sucat to PNR's main station at Tutuban.

The fare from Espana Train Station to Sucat Train Station is 14 pesos and the travel time is 45 minutes exactly as I recorded the time of departure at Espana Train Station and arrival at Sucat Train Station. The fare from Sucat Station to Tutuban (the main station and office of PNR) is 20 pesos and more or less 60 minutes travel time.

In some stretch of the route, the train is more or less 100 percent full. As per information from other passenger, from monday to friday the commuter train is always full and some passengers were standing on the aisle like the MRT and LRT trains though not on the same tight situations like tha later.

I noticed also that the squatters now called informal settlers were already removed from "Da Riles " railroad tracks and no longer a problem in train operations as in the previous years and decades.
